Building a Site with Jekyll and Compass

I think I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve written some form of blogging software. It’s kind of ironic, as I hardly ever post. It’s always been as a learning excercise for the latest language, framework or whatever I’m using at work or just have an itch to learn. Recently I began getting interested in Jekyll, a ‘blog aware, static site generator in Ruby’.

I’ve also updated the design of my site many times. Sadly, it never looks quite right…

So with the latest and greatest restart of my blog I’m going to try to change a few things. I’m going to use an ‘out of the box’ blogging package. I’m going to try to post a bit more often. And finally, I’m going to try learn how to make this thing look nice, preferrably using Sass as it appeals to the programmer in me.

So for posterity. This is what kuripai.com currently looks like…
